Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be warmly greeted by a representative from Adventure Series Nepal. Our representative will provide you with essential information about Kathmandu, including local customs, attractions, and general tips for an enjoyable stay. As you travel through the bustling streets of Kathmandu, you'll experience the vibrant culture, colorful markets, and architectural wonders that define the city.
Your journey begins with a scenic bus or private vehicle ride to Dhunche, passing the famous white water rafting river Trishuli. The roads are bumpy with twists and turns as you head north out of Kathmandu, driving through picturesque foothills. Along the way, you’ll catch glimpses of Ganesh Himal, terraced farmland, and lush green hills.
After breakfast, you'll trek towards Chandan Bari, traversing trails filled with forests and meadows. Deer sightings are common, and you can enjoy a cup of typical mountain tea made of yak milk, energizing your body for the journey ahead. You’ll arrive at Chandan Bari by evening.
An early start today as you head towards Gosaikunda. As you ascend, houses and stupas become rare, indicating that you're nearing your destination. The sun's rays will reveal mesmerizing views of the lake surrounded by mountains, a true highlight of the trek.
Today's rugged trail passes by four lakes, offering spectacular views of Ganesh Himal, Langtang Lirung, and other peaks. The Lauribina Yak Pass at 4610m is the highest point of the trail. After crossing the rocky pass with stunning vistas, you'll descend towards Ghopte.
The trail begins with a slight descent, followed by an ascent through a lush green forest of rhododendrons until Tharepati. After reaching Tharepati, you’ll descend towards Kutumsang, crossing streams, scattered huts of sheep and yak herders, and forests of rhododendrons and junipers. The views of Helambu Valley, Jugal Himal, and Numbur are breathtaking. Kutumsang is inhabited by Sherpa people, and you’ll get to explore their distinctive culture and an old Buddhist monastery.
Today’s trek is an easy and pleasant descent towards Melamchi Pul Bazaar, passing through cultivated fields and meadows. You will cross several old villages, interacting with locals and experiencing their unique culture and lifestyle. The hike offers beautiful mountain views and numerous small settlements to explore.
After breakfast, a private vehicle will be waiting for you at Melamchi Pul Bazaar to bring you back to Kathmandu. The four-hour drive through twisting and turning roads will return you to the capital city, concluding your adventurous trek.
