Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be warmly greeted by a representative from Adventure Series Nepal. Embark on an eight-hour bus or private vehicle ride to Syabru Besi, passing the famous white water rafting river Trishuli. The roads are bumpy with twists and turns, offering scenic views of foothills as you head north out of Kathmandu. Along the way, you'll catch glimpses of Ganesh Himal, terraced farmland, and green hills.
On the first day of trekking, the trail follows the Langtang Khola, ascending through rhododendron and bamboo forests to Rimche. Keep an eye out for wildlife, as there's a high chance of spotting red pandas and bears along the trails.
Today's trail takes you through Gumanechowk and Ghoda Tabela (Horse Stable), passing yak pastures and a beautiful valley. Langtang Village, one of the oldest and most authentic villages on this route, offers spectacular mountain views.
After breakfast, trek to Kyanjin Gompa, home to an ancient Buddhist monastery and a local yak cheese factory. Today’s hike is short, allowing for sightseeing in the nearby area upon arrival.
Spend the day exploring Kyanjin Gompa and its surroundings. Visit the monastery and cheese factory, walk up the moraine to see the ice faces and tumbling glaciers of Langtang Lirung, or ascend Kyangjin Ri (4350m) for breathtaking panoramic views of Langtang Lirung, Shishapangma, Dorje Lakpa, and other snow-capped peaks. Non-technical peak climbing options are also available.
After an early breakfast at Kyanjin Gompa, descend back to Lama Hotel, retracing your steps through the beautiful landscapes.
Today, descend to Syabru Besi, leaving the mountains behind. This marks both the starting and ending point of your trek.
After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu from Syabru Besi. The journey will take approximately 9 hours by bus or private vehicle, depending on group size. Upon arrival, you will be transferred back to your original hotel.
