Upper Mustang, known as the last forbidden kingdom, is a bastion of Tibetan culture and untouched natural beauty. The region is a mosaic of barren landscapes, deep canyons, and rock formations, with a history that dates back centuries. We have a much shorter hour-long travel today. Once you cross rugged pathways and arrive in Lo Mangthang, you may see Tibetan-themed residences and communities, watch domestic yaks and cattle caravans, marvel at the views of the mountains and surrounding environment from the passes, and take part in local activities and Buddhist schools, arts, and king palace.

The primary highlights of the exploring day involve visiting the cave monasteries at Tingkar Village, Nymagel Village, Jhong Cave, Khangchuling Cave, NYFU Monastery, Chhonup Village, and Nymagel Village.

Explore the villages of Yara/Ghara and Dhi, cross the Kaligandaki River, pass by a Buddhist  pagoda, see a Tibetan monastery, and participate part in local activities.

This specific day, you may spend discovering the local culture and playing adventure games in and around the Kaligandaki Gorge in Kagbeni.

We'll take the same paths back to Pokhara, carrying with us all the wonderful memories and experiences we've shared, passing through sleepy towns, apple orchards, and high peaks along way. After arriving in Pokhara, you can choose to continue your journey across Nepal by going on excursions or adventures such as zip-lining, bungee jumping, jungle safaris in Chitwan, or relaxing in Pokhara before returning to Kathmandu.
