This journey is not just a ride; it’s a passage through a land that time forgot, where the spirit of adventure leads you through the heart of the Himalayas.

Upper Mustang, known as the last forbidden kingdom, is a bastion of Tibetan culture and untouched natural beauty. The region is a mosaic of barren landscapes, deep canyons, and rock formations, with a history that dates back centuries. Lo Manthang, the walled capital, stands as a testament to the region’s storied past.

Jeep touring in Upper Mustang is a relatively new phenomenon, but it has quickly become a sought-after experience for travelers around the world. The region’s challenging terrain and the allure of its cultural heritage make it an ultimate destination for those seeking a ride on the wild side.

The tour begins in Kathmandu, taking you through the bustling streets before heading towards the serene city of Pokhara. From there, the ride ascends into the heart of Upper Mustang, passing through the Kali Gandaki Gorge, the world’s deepest river gorge. The route offers breathtaking views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri massifs, with stops at sacred sites like the Muktinath Temple2.

Jeep Adventure in Mustang

We are two friends, just back from a 15-day trip to Upper Mustang organized by Adventure Series Nepal. They had made excellent arrangements throughout and provided details of our requirements throughout the trip. The driver and the guide they arraigned were unfailingly polite, responsive, and responsible. There were some problems with money transfers from Isarel, but they had made all the arrangements without even waiting for any advance remittance from us. The Jeep they provided was excellent and could negotiate the unforgiving terrain of the Upper Mustang. The flights and hotels were comfortable. I strongly recommend this agency to anyone who would like to travel to Nepal.
