Itinerary

Welcome to Himalayan country of Nepal. Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan international airport Adventure Series Nepal’s representative welcomes you and assists to transfer in your hotel in Kathmandu. After time to get refreshed, evening you'll meet representative to brief about your trip.

Today after breakfast you will start a guided tour to several of the most historical and spiritual attractions in Kathmandu. All these landmarks are considered World Heritage Sites; including the, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, the famous 'Monkey Temple' Swayambunath and Buddhists shrine of Bouddhanath which is one of the largest Stupas in the world and Medieval city Patan.

Today you will explore the ancient city of Bhaktapur and rest of the day trip preparation. Normally it will take two and half days for Urgent Tibet visa. Top urgent visa we can take within one days, but it will be little expensive.

After an early breakfast in hotel, you will kick up your motorbike, you will follow 40 Km to the Prithibi and turn left to the Kerung border. Due to the road condition, it is very long journey through remote areas of Langtang national park till Rasuwagadi through Nuwakot, Dhunche and you will stay overnight at Shyabrubesi.

Today we complete all the border formalities and passing through immigration, we ride somewhere around an hour and stay at small town named Kerung.

Today after breakfast you will ride uphill to the highest plateau of the world with the typical view of Tibetan landscape offering sheer feeling of standing on the roof of the world. from were, weather permitting, breathtaking panorama of beautiful Himalayan ranges including Mt Cho Oyu (8201 M) & Mt Xishapagma (8012M) but dwarfed by the Vastness of the Tibetan plateau. From TINGRI, one can enjoy the magnificence of Mt. Everest (8,848 M).

Today After breakfast you will ride to Ronbuk through beautiful Tibetan countryside. You will explore Ronbuk Monastery (highest monastery in the world) and enjoy the close beautiful views of Everest. (Before 4 Km of Ronbuk the chinese government does not allow any vehicles so to reach Ronbuk will go by electric bus which are available every 30 minutes. Also, now without climbing permits other visitors are not allow to the Everest base camp. But you will reach 1.5 Km before base camp where the views are similar and gigantic). After enjoying your day at Everest base Camp, you will drive to Xegar for Overnight stay. (If you want to stay at Ronbuk for your experience then it is also possible. only the things the next day you must drive 90 KM more to reach Shigatse.)

Today is also one of the most beautiful day. You will cross over 5200 meters passes where often get the snow. After a beautiful drive you will arrive at Shigatse,(3900m) the second largest Tibetan city. Tashilhunpo Monastery, being one of the largest functioning monasteries in Tibet is the major attraction of Shigatse. Explore your evening around local town of Shigatse.

Morning sightseeing to the Panchen Lama's Tashilhumpu Monastery. Drive to Gyantse and visit to the Kumbum Stupa & Phalkor Monastery and Local town of Gyantse.

Full day picturesque drive crossing over Karola (5,010m), Kambala (4,749m), Colorful Yamdrok-Tso Lake and the Tibetan lifeline river Brahma Putra (Yarlung Tsangpo).

Once you relinquish your delicious breakfast, you straightaway decide for your sightseeing tour. Your experienced guide accompanies you to the famous monasteries of Tibet. On your awe-inspiring visit to Sera Monastery, you are introduced to the important aspects of Buddhism. After lunch, you once again continue exploring Tibetan ancient cultures and civilizations as you pay a visit to Norbulingka, the summer palace of the Dalai Lama. Jokhang temple provides yet another exciting and educative tour. Wandering around Barkhor Markets is another major highlight of the day. Finally, you head back to your hotel for relaxation and refreshments.

Today you get more acquainted with the mystiques of Lhasa. In the morning after breakfast, you will set off to view majestic Potala Palace towering above city of Lhasa. You get to witness unique, pristine and overwhelming array of intricate Tibetan murals, temples, stupas, and tombs of eight past Dalai Lamas from a perfect vantage point. Ancient Tibetan cultures come alive with your every exploration. Later in the noon after lunch, you will visit beautifully landscaped Drepung Monastery. You can observe nuns and monks chanting and performing religious discourses. After this religious journey, you eventually return to your hotel for delicious dinner and well-eared peaceful sleep.

Today after breakfast, we take the same route that we took to reach Lhasa, however we skip the place called Gyangtse. We will be spending night at Sigatse. Feel free to stop at the place thatcatch your interest, take pictures and enjoy the breathtaking landscapes.

Today we board on 6-7 hour motorcycle ride towards Tingri. Riding on the same tarmac that led us to Lhasa. Don’t forget to enjoy the view and obviously feel free to stop at place catching your attention. Take breaks, stretch your body and ride again.

Today we say goodbye to Tibetan Plateau and reach Nepal. Experience the dramatic change in landscape. Upon reaching boarder, we complete all the formalities and officially re-enter Nepal. Don’t forget the driving lane changes at boarder side, from today you will be riding on left side whereas yesterday you were riding your bike on right hand side.

Today we drive back to Kathmandu, the same 175 km on both good black topped and off-road terrain of Nepal. Upon reaching Kathmandu you can sit by the bar and enjoy some drinks whilereflecting on trip discussing about the events that you lived and will treasure forever.

Today one of our representatives will drop you off at the airport terminal of Kathmandu.

A Spiritual Odyssey Through the Himalayas

Dream come true with Adventure Series Nepal

I was quite amused by the facilities offered by Adventure Series Nepal. From great accommodations to a comfortable bike, the Adventure Series makes sure to notice the smallest details to make your trip more safe and comfortable. I always dream to travel by bike with breathtaking landscape views, and our adventure series makes my dream come true. The guide rider provided by the agent was friendly, and I too had good times with other riders. Taking permits to travel to Tibet was much more effortless, and the accommodations and meals provided were top-class. They even make sure you and your belongings are safe. I was really happy to take this motorcycle travel adventure series, as they make everything seem so comfortable and memorable. A slow ride through the mountains, exploring Tibetan culture, religions, and their local cuisine, was the best experience I have ever had.
